FORMER Berridale boy Brett White has expressed disappointment over the 22-22 draw from last Friday's Country verse City match.
White told the Cooma-Monaro Express yesterday that although he was pleased with his personal performance, he was disappointed the rules of representative football didn't allow a winner to named.
"It went all good as far as I was concerned except getting a draw, it would have been nice to have a win, but unfortunately it's the way football goes sometimes," White said.
"The players thought the game would go into golden point. I thought it was a quality game, but the draw wasn't the best outcome," he said.
White, who's just played in his third Country verse City match, is hoping to be selected for the Blues State of Origin team, so he can make amends over his performance at last year's series.
"It didn't pan out like I want it to last year. In the first game I kept getting sent to the blood bin and in the second game left off the field for a great deal of time, so I'd love to get a shot at it this year."
White added that his season with the Melbourne Storm was going well and he hoped to get back to his home region when the season ends.
"It's going really well, however the upcoming representative season will have a massive toll on Storm, as so many players will be playing for that.
"It's going to be hard over the next six weeks, but hopefully we can come through unscathed" he said.
